Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://mrkhan.digital

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Got it — you want an add-on section to your existing privacy policy that specifically covers the Google OAuth scopes you’re using, based on the screenshot you showed earlier.

Since I can’t see exactly which scopes you’ve configured from the image alone, I’ll give you a universal OAuth-specific section you can plug into your privacy policy. It clearly explains how your app uses Google user data and each common scope — just replace the example scopes with the ones your app actually uses.

Great — now that you clarified the app is specifically for Google Business Profile review access/reply, your privacy policy must explicitly state how you handle Google Business Profile data (i.e., reviews, business account info), not just basic sign-in. This is critical for Google’s OAuth app verification.

Below is a tailored add-on section you can paste into your existing Privacy Policy to describe how your app uses and protects Google Business Profile data.

🔹 Google Business Profile Data — OAuth Scope Usage Add-On

This section explains how we access and use data from your Google Business Profile when you authorize our application using Google sign-in (OAuth).

1. Why We Request This Access

To enable features such as reading and replying to your Google Business reviews, we need access to certain resources from your Google Business Profile. We request these permissions via Google OAuth so that you can manage your business reviews directly through our app without sharing your Google credentials.

We do not request access to any Google data that is not necessary to provide these functions.

2. Google OAuth Scopes We Use

When you sign in with Google and authorize our application, you may see the following access requests:

🔹 openid

  • Purpose: Identifies you securely using Google authentication.

  • How It’s Used: Provides a secure way to know which Google account is connected.

🔹 email

  • Purpose: Accesses your email address from the authenticated Google account.

  • How It’s Used:
    • To link your Google account with your profile in our app
    • To send important updates related to review responses

🔹 profile

  • Purpose: Retrieves basic profile information (name, profile photo).

  • How It’s Used: Personalizes your dashboard and UI.

  • Purpose: Grants our app permission to view and manage your Google Business Profile data.

  • How It’s Used:
    • Retrieve your business reviews
    • Post replies to reviews on your behalf
    • Sync review metadata (timestamps, ratings)

⚠ We only use this scope to enable review reading/reply features and do not use it for additional business management actions (e.g., editing business info or posts) beyond reviews.

3. What Data We Collect

When you connect your Google Business Profile, we may access:

• Your business location IDs
• Customer reviews (content, rating, reviewer name if available)
• Any reply you compose via our interface
• Review metadata (posting date/time)

We do not collect or store your Google login credentials.

4. How Your Data Is Stored & Used

We retain your Google Business Profile data only to:

• Provide the review management features in the app
• Sync review and reply status
• Improve performance and caching

We delete cached review data if:

• You disconnect your Google account
• You request account deletion
• Our retention period expires (maximum 90 days after disconnection)

5. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share your Google Business Profile data with advertisers or external marketing partners.

We may use service providers (such as cloud hosting) under strict confidentiality agreements, and they only process data to support the app.

6. Your Control and Revocation

You can revoke our access to your Google Business Profile at any time:

📌 Visit
Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access
(https://myaccount.google.com/security)

After revocation, our system will cease access immediately, and cached Google Business Profile data will be deleted within 30 days.

7. Security Measures

We use standard industry practices to protect your data, including:

✔ Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
✔ Secure credential handling through Google OAuth
✔ Controlled access logging and monitoring

While we take strong measures to protect data, no system is completely immune to unauthorized access. Use of multi-factor authentication on your Google account is recommended.
